I have been trying to develop a compound for the treatment of a type of cancer that effects about 18,000 people per yeas in the US. My mother died from the disease. Large Pharma, including those that rely on large pharma for exits (VC, Private Equity etc.) is not interested in such a story. Even though there is money to be made, the market isn't in the billions. Pharma shareholders demand more. There are novel approaches to treat and cure diseases but possibly more importantly, there needs to be creative ways to fund the extraordinary expense involved in the development of these drugs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
